Sorry that you're singing Remix to Ignition now.
Just kidding. And if you aren't singing it or if, God forbid, you don't know what I'm talking about, download it and come back.
Seriously.
I had an action packed, fun weekend! Friday Eli and I hung out with some sweet girls and it stormed. I'm 99% sure it only stormed because I had planned on going on a Girls Only Float Trip and Mother Nature is sippin' on haterade. But, whatever.
It rained out our ballgame, so Eli took off to Norfork with Memaw, PawPaw, Nady, Hannah, and Nathaniel.
*As always, he couldn't wait to get home to his parents.
**the previous statement is a complete lie. He's already asked to go spend the night with them.
Quinn and I went on a date after they left. It consisted of Las Margaritas, WalMart, and him playing guitar on the couch while I read a book and took a bubble bath.
Best. Date. Everrrr.
Saturday, my awesome friend and neighbor text me about an estate auction. (She knows my love language.) So, I met Brook and Christie in Kennett and we hit that up. After that, we went to all the thrift stores in Kennett. I didn't make any big purchases, just this adorable blow up donkey for Nady. Because, every little girl needs an ass filled with hot air. ;)
Since our float trip was canceled, we decided to go to a winery and spend the night. I posted on Facebook and asked about some wineries with over night accommodations. I had lots of replies and we decided to head to Bloomfield and go to The Boathouse Wine Co.
I called to reserve a room and the lady told me the cabins were $40 a night. I'm poor, so half of me was stoked and the other, more sensible half was pondering what in the hell I had signed us up for... $40 per night, had me hoping I didn't have to share a bed with something Eli would like to hang on a wall!
But, I was in desperate need for a GNO and I already manhandled an anoconda this week- so I figured "What The Heck, I'll just make sure to consume enough wine to drown out any sensible thoughts I may encounter."
You know, I always have a plan.
I even managed to talk 3 other girls into thinking it was a good idea! I run with an adventurous crowd. Mal, Christie, Ashley, and I loaded up and headed to Bloomfield. We had some interesting conversation on the way down and got all caught up on the low down.
We pulled into the parking lot and saw this:
Our overnight accommodations. Quaint. 😳
But, when we got inside it wasn't bad at all! Thank goodness!
Just a bed and a futon. Well worth $40 and a worry free girl's night!
We had such a fun time! Great food, great wine, a great band, and wonderful company!

We danced the night away.
But, I do like to call that picture "Bye Felicia".
Anyway, Mal and I took one for the team and slept on that futon.
I'm pretty sure I have scoliosis and a slipped disc now... I should've stayed in the lawn chair.
Buuuuuut, it was worth it.
Now.. I'm ready to cuddle up with these handsome fellas and have some Tylenol!
